Amanda Bettinger

Amanda Bettinger grew up in MSCL and swam for the Poolesville Piranhas since she was 6.  After graduating college, she returned to MCSL with the Germantown Torpedoes for the last 2 summers.  She is currently the lead minis coach for RMSC at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center.  Outside of swimming, she is a high school math teacher and finishing her masters degree at Johns Hopkins University.  Amanda is looking forward to a great summer with a lot of energy, a lot of fun, and a lot of great swimming!

Matt Pizer

Matt will be returning as an assistant coach for The Wahoos this season!  Matt swam in the MCSL swim league for 13 seasons and also swam for RMSC and the Hydro Sonic Tiburones.  During his swim career Matt competed in All Stars, Junior Olympics, All Star Relays, Coaches Longcourse, Maryland States and Metros.  He is finishing up his sophomore year at Towson University where he is majoring in Electronic Media and Film with a minor in History. Matt's favorite part about swimming is the competition and the camaraderie.  He loves having a good time at the pool and winning!  He hopes to continue to bring both to The Wahoos.  We are excited to have Matt back with us this summer!  Matt's personal message:  POW, right in the kisser!

Jessica Bulley

Jess joined the Wahoos as an assistant coach last season and will be returning to coach again this summer.  Jess started swimming at the age of 6 when she joined Daleview swim team.  Since then it has been her dream to be a swim team coach and is thrilled to have the opportunity to fulfill this dream with the Woodcliffe Wahoos.  Jess has had years of experience giving lessons to swimmers of all ages.  Jess can't wait to cheer with the Wahoos again this summer and we are thrilled to have her back.

Jeremy Hsiao

Jeremy will be joining to the Wahoos community as an assistant coach this summer. He is eager for this opportunity to work with swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Jeremy started swimming in 6th grade with RMSC and continued swimming throughout middle school and high school. Jeremy recently graduated from Poolesville High School and will be attending University of Maryland-College Park this coming fall. Jeremy is very excited for a wonderful summer full of fast swimming and fun.

Courtney Spahn

Courtney has been swimming in MCSL since she was five years old, and has been swimming for the Wahoos since the team first started in 2003. In the winter, Courtney swam for the Hydrosonic Tiburones in middle school and RMSC in high school. Courtney has almost three years experience teaching swim lessons to special needs children for a group called Sports Plus. She recently graduated from Northwest High School, and will be attending Loyola University Maryland in the fall. She plans on majoring in Elementary Education. Courtney is very excited to be coaching this year, and is looking forward to a great season.
